Over the last several months, 3north has hosted Mayor Dwight Jones, his staff, other city officials, VCU’s president Michael Rao and other interested parties at the Corrugated Box Building. In the IP meeting room, 3north has constructed a 20×20 model of the park and surrounding buildings to depict the firm’s translation of the park’s master plan.
The news media has reported the story as the Monroe Park Advisory Council (MPAC) is seeking to establish a public-private partnership to raise the necessary funds to restore the park and manage and operate it. 3north and MPAC chair, Alice Massie McGuire, have been hosting interested parties and the media as the Council is seeking to establish a conservancy for raising the funds needed in addition to the city’s initial contribution.
