MINT Kick-off
The ‘Box was ablaze with candlelight, music, and masses of orange roses at the end of the workday on Wednesday, November 16, when the Corrugated Partners hosted a cocktail party and kick-off meeting for MINT, the Manchester Industrial Neighborhood Team. MINT, whose mission is “to promote the economic development of the Old Manchester area as it is developed into a mixed use community” ¦ while retaining the historic character of the area, and facilitating safety, enjoyment, and increasing property values’ is made up largely of owners, residents, and developers in the district, but certainly open to all interested parties. After short presentations about MINT by Bill Chapman of Fountainhead Development and Robyn Brickner Connell of The Decatur Condominiums, about thirty five guests mixed and mingled, enjoying spirits and sustenance as a d.j. provided a mellow background of jazz. The MINT event, a huge success, provided the opportunity for fellow Manchester citizens who had seen or heard about one other in passing to meet, greet, and discuss their businesses or homes, as well as the exciting development and enormous potential of this historic industrial area. Keep posted for news about the group’s next meeting, to be held in January 2006. In the meantime, for more information about MINT, feel free to contact Bill Chapman or Robyn Brickner Connell.
